Health Gazette Ezine November 2008 Edition Available November 1st

The November Ezine edition of The Health Gazette will be published on time, tomorrow, November 1st.

This month's main article by Dr Jenny Tylee considers the significant problem of air pollution within the home. There is plenty of research to confirm what is perfectly obvious -- people spend many hours every week inside their homes. Add to this number the additional hours spent inside other buildings and the level of exposure poses quite a problem.

This significant risk to health is all the more worrying because it is largely silent. People just don't realise what they are exposed to and what problems can result. Many people suffer poor health as a direct result from exposure to toxins found in the air inside their own homes. Might you be one of them? What can you do about the problem?

Health Gazette Ezine September 2008 Edition Available September 1st

The September 2008 Ezine edition was published on time today, September 1.

In this edition we consider the basics of how the body inactivates drugs. This is a very important part of how the body naturally attempts to maintain a detoxified state. Unfortunately many people suffer from either failures in this area or damage to this area. Both of these situations represent threats to wellbeing.

In answer to a subscriber's question we also address how to deal with allergies. This seems to be a question that's posed over and over again so there is obviously considerable need for information about effectively dealing with allergies without resorting to pharmaceutical antihistamines.

Health Gazette Ezine August 2008 Edition Available August 1st

The August 2008 Ezine edition of The Health Gazette will be published tomorrow, August 1st.

This edition features an article titled: Stress - Impact on the Mind and Body. A brief but telling review of the impact that negative stress can have on both body and mind, the article encourages readers to recognize the importance of dealing effectively with stress in daily life.

Further information in this month's publication considers natural antibiotics. Several are listed along with brief discussion on the importance of moving beyond the Big Pharma consumers' conditioned response of looking for "quick fix" and "magic bullet" solutions. Natural antibiotcs are extremely powerful and very effective without the downside risks and side effects associated with pharmaceutical antibiotcs, but they must be approached differently.

Health Gazette Ezine July 2008 Edition Available July 1st

The July Ezine edition of The Health Gazette has been published on schedule today, July 1st.

In this month's edition our main article is titled Eliminating Constipation. This widespread problem can easily "take the gloss off" even the best of days when only mild and short-lived. When it is severe or chronic constipation can lead to a multitude of health problems due either to the accumulation of toxins or the physical effects of the associated stools.

In the section called Peter's Pearls there is a material to stimulate some deep thinking. It includes a link to the book titled Seven Words That Can Change The World by Joe Simonetta -- a book well worth reading.

Health Gazette Ezine May 2008 Edition Available May 1st

The May 2008 edition of the Health Gazette Ezine was published on schedule, today, May first. It has been emailed already and is also available to subscribers in the archive.

This month we discussed the problems caused by pharmaceutical drugs in an article titled: Medical Drugs and Toxicity - No Way to Heal.

In this edition we briefly discuss some of the known serious health problems that have resulted directly from the use of prescription drugs. The illness from drugs causes significant distress to people worldwide so it seems an appropriate topic on May Day, given the use of "Mayday" as the universal distress call.

Health Gazette Ezine Edition April 2008 Available April 1st

The April edition of the Health Gazette Ezine was published on schedule, today, April first 2008. It has been emailed already and is also available to subscribers in the archive.

This month we discussed the importance of healthy fats and oils. Many people have been told to cut fats from their diets and unfortunately, that's exactly what they have done! Care must be taken when modifying dietary fats to ensure that ample essential fatty acids are still consumed.

In this edition we explain what good fats and bad fats are. Naturally, we don't just peddle the orthodox lines about cholesterol. Do you know what good and bad fats are? Do you know the risks from consuming bad fats? What about the risks from not consuming good fats? If you could use a few more details then why not subscribe to the Health Gazette Ezine -- it's free. Health Gazette Ezine Edition March 2008 Available March 1st

The March Ezine Edition of The Health Gazette will be published on time, March 1st, 2008. The featured article this month is a little different from usual. It is titled: Mind-Body Connection: The Medical Blind Spot. It is one of those classic cases of a huge gap between medical rhetoric and the realities of practice. The article briefly traces this problem to the historical roots of Cartesian thinking and the erroneous beliefs about modern science.

Another issue addressed in the edition is the use of natural antibiotics. We answer a reader's question about natural antibiotic use for dental infections.

Could Health Freedom Return?

We at The Health Gazette recognze that health is unavoidably political. It affects people, it costs individuals and governments (public funds) a lot of money -- how could it not be political?

So we were interested to read a statement by Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), Republican Presidential candidate for 2008, under the title "Health Freedom". Here it is:

Americans are justifiably concerned over the government?s escalating intervention into their freedom to choose what they eat and how they take care of their health.

Health Gazette Ezine Edition December 2007 Available December 1st

The December Ezine Edition of The Health Gazette will be publised on time, December 1st, 2007. This edition will be distributed by email from the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia, where the editor will interrupt his beach holiday just to ensure this last edition for the year reaches subscribers on time. The archived edition will be available around mid December.

The featured article in the December edition is titled: Varicose Veins: Prevention and Treatment. This commonly experienced but little discussed condition does not have to be suffered until it becomes bad enough for surgical intervention. Contrary to popular opinion some treatment is available and it does not involve the use of dangerous drugs. Many people will be interested to read the steps to prevention.

Health Gazette Ezine Edition November 2007 Available November 1st

The Novenber 2007 Ezine edition of the Health gazette will again be published on time. It will be available on November 1st.

This edition features an article titled Dealing with Memory Problems. Many people notice that their memory is not quite as good as it once was. Typically, people are told that memory declines with aging and they are frequently encouraged not to worry about it. Not worrying is indeed good advice because worrying won't help. However, there are many things that will help and these can be found in the article.

Whether you feel the need, have been advised to do something about your memory by someone concerned for your wellbeing, or simply want to enhance and make the most of your memory, you will find plenty of useful information in this month's edition. As with many other things related to your health and enjoyment of life, don't put off taking action to take care of your memory and overall mental functioning. Preventing decline is always a good idea.

Health Gazette Ezine Edition October 2007 Available October 1st

The October Ezine edition of The Health Gazette will be published on schedule tomorrow, October 1st.

The October edition has a main article by Dr jenny Tylee that explains why it is important for most people who consume a typical diet in western developed nations to eat less meat. Marketing campaigns like "Feed the Man Beef" and many others that promote alternatives to beef have been very successful. Furthermore, many people have come to regard the quantity of meat they consume as a direct reflection of the affluence they have achieved. Unfortunately this means that far too many people eat far too much meat.

Health Gazette Ezine Edition August 2007 Available August 1st

Yet another slow month on the Gazette site but we are pleased to announce that the August edition of the Health Gazette Ezine has been published on schedule, on August 1st.

The August 2007 edition focusses on solving gallbladder problems. Many people suffer from cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation) and/or cholelithiasis (gallstones). Unfortunately, orthodox practitioners are quick to recommend cholecyctectomy (surgical removal of the gallbladder).

The main article in this edition presents some insights into why we need our gallbladders and why removal is not such a good idea in most cases. Dietary and herbal medicine approaches for dealing with gallbladder complaints are presented.
